The Cottage
Originally a fisherman’s cottage, it is built of the local stone which makes it cool in summer and warm in winter. It is in a quiet pedestrian street in the “Faubourg” area and has lots of sunshine as its windows face south. Guests said: “what we liked most – the location – quiet pedestrian street very close to the beach and amenities”.
The main living space is on the first floor, which has been redesigned to provide an airy open plan living/ dining room with French windows onto the street. Guest comment: “the location was superb, the floorplans very practical and spacious and the cottage had all the equipment needed.”
It is equipped with TV/ DVD/video player and CD/tape/radio system and an ipod dock. There is also WiFi – just bring your own laptop / device. Guest said: “.. this has been an excellent base and its restful colour scheme and well chosen features made it feel welcoming and relaxing.
You can join in the conversations and be part of what is happening in the living area while you are cooking. Guest quote: “lovely to find a kitchen I could easily cook in! Often self catering houses are very poorly equipped.”
The well equipped kitchen has everything from a fridge/freezer, gas & electric cooker, dishwasher and liquidiser to scales and a rolling pin. So you can create dishes from the excellent local produce or you can serve dishes from one of the nearby take-aways .
The laundry area has a washer/ tumbler-drier, drying line and iron. Guest quote: “it’s even got a utility room!”
